Evidence Based On-Call
Need Athens Password. Evidence-Based On-Call is a database developed by the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine and the University of Oxford. In the early days of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, it became clear that young doctors, although very keen to practise evidence-based decision-making, were unable to find the evidence they needed, particularly when it was needed most - namely, in the middle of the night when senior staff were not on the premises, or librarians were not available, or when libraries were sometimes locked across a dark and unsafe car park. For this reason, a project called the Evidence-Based On-Call project was developed to promote and facilitate what was called EBM at 2.00 am.
